Maitreysia
Distinguishing Phenomena and Pure Being
with Commentary by Mipham is the study text book for Khenpo Tsultrim
Gyamtso Rinpocheís 2004 world tour.
This book was composed by Maitreya during the golden age of Indian
Buddhism. Mipham's commentary supports Maitreya's text in a detailed
analysis of how ordinary confused consciousness can be transformed
into wisdom.
Easy-to-follow instructions guide the reader through
the profound meditation that gradually brings about
this transformation. This text, along with Ju Mipham
Rinpoche's commentary, is taught extensively
throughout the world by Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso
Rinpoche, who considers this text to be of pivotal
importance
Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche was born in eastern Tibet in 1934.
He is not only the most prominent scholar but also a yogi master.
He received pointing out instructions from the Sixteen Karmapa and
his degree and title of khenpo from His Holiness the Sixteenth Karmapa
and His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama.
At the request of the Sixteen Karmapa, Rinpoche went to Europe and
began his work of teaching Dharma and training translators in both
oral and written Tibetan.
Rinpoche is well known in many Dharma centers in the
U.S., Far East, and Europe. Today, Rinpoche is often
regarded as the Milarepa of our time. Currently,
Rinpoche travels yearly on teaching tours to the
United States and Europe.
